Men generally don't need makeup. Shave close the morning of the shoot and clean up any stray nose, ear or eyebrow hairs.

Hair: Make sure your hair is the length and color you intend to keep for a while. If you want to get it cut do it no later than one week before the shoot.

The night before: Drink lots of water, keep carousing and drinking to a minimum (or not at all!) and get a good night's sleep. You'll come to the session relaxed, fresh, feeling good and looking great and that's what it's all about!

The day of: Be on time but don't rush! I'd rather you be a litle late and relaxed than on-time and stressed out. Bring water to stay hydrated and a snack to help keep your energy up. Bring your favorite music. Above all, have fun!

Preparing for Your Headshot Session

A headshot is designed to reflect you; your personality, character, intelligence, talent and professionalism. Who you are will shine through if your come to the headshot session as relaxed and prepared as possible.

Wardrobe: Keep it simple. A relaxed, comfortable look is best with clothes you feel comfortable in. No bold colors or patterns. Nothing too loose or too tight. Make sure your wardrobe is clean and pressed. Check for stains, frayed collars and faded spots on shirts. If you're not sure what colors or styles work best on you do a fashion show with a friend before the shoot.

Makeup: Again, keep it simple. Casting directors want to see you, not you behind layers of pancake and rouge. If you don't hire a professional makeup artist do your makeup after you get to the studio.
